love this exhaust. it comes without db killers. not too loud but loud enough. I've made no other changes to the exhaust. And I have zero plans to decat the bike.

    No entry/exit zipper - alloys wind, cold wind and wind driven rain from entering. The pole and guy line are located at the center of the entry - a lousy location for entry/exit. Can it lay at ground level to prevent rain splasing in or cold or cold wind from entering. Is there a vent? If not, then increased likelyhood for greater condensation. Do they waterproof all sewing? Not a four season tent. I guess the sales cost limited Zpacks ability to provide the zippered entry/exit and vent - additional material and labor to provide at their price point.

    This made me want to visit again. There's so much more to the county than you've captured, but I appreciate very much what you have put together, created and shared with the world about our "neck of the woods." I went about 10 years ago and discovered what has become of the area. Very sad for me to see so few farms left, barns, houses and corn cribs collapsed for the elements to weather away. I drove right past where one of my childhood homes was!! Like the trees have remade it like what the first settlers saw there, 200-ish years ago. It's quite amazing to be able to say this. It makes me curious about the future there. For sure, I won't be around to know. I sure miss home sometimes. ❤️‍🩹

    OK now you took the wrong trail, probably Redman Run and now you are complaining. Seriously your videography is great but your route planning is amateur.

    42:36 back at the north trailhead; your video completely skips the Chimneys. This is where you camp and take a zero. This is why you hike the North Fork Mountain trail, imho. Your videography is great...your trip planning needs work. B-

  • @michaelbroyer3918
    @michaelbroyer3918 4 місяці тому

    North Fork Mountain, WV is no joke on a bike. You will hike and bike at least 1/3 of the trail or 8 miles. Two thirds is ridable but technical. Buff south end and the descent to Smoke Hole Road is steep, fast and rocky.

  • @michaelbroyer3918

    You will find the only good water on NFM at video 21:32 Go left 100 yards to the clean water. Not mud puddles for heck sake.

  • @michaelbroyer3918
    @michaelbroyer3918 4 місяці тому

    at 19:25 you collect disgusting water, when in fact you were 3 easy miles from the one spring on NFM. There is only one water source on NFM and it is at the exact mid-point of the trail. I have hiked NFM 8 times in the last 6 years: four of those hikes were S>N thru hikes. This natural spring is fairly reliable through out the year. Easy to find too.

      If you don’t mind me asking, why the switch? I’m trying to decide between the two and can’t make up my mind. I’ve test ridden both and love them both for different reasons. Would love to hear your experience with the triple.

    • @BrizzleKoi
      @BrizzleKoi 3 місяці тому

      @AgentCodyBikes had the street tripple for 3 years. Found it really uncomfortable. Hour or two of riding and my neck, back and legs would ache like mad. Also found it too fast...strange for me because I've always liked fast bikes. I found the street tripple just wanted to do 100mph and was most comfortable at high rpms. The speed twin with its twin engine and more upright seating position appealed to me. I didn't end up buying a speed twin in the end. I bought a yamaha tenere 700. Hope that helps buddy

    So now that you've had these on for 4 months, what are your thoughts? Are they ever too loud? Like on the highway? Or hard acceleration? In town? At dawn in your neighborhood? Would you get them again or wish anything about them was different? Thanks.

    I knew the cross roads was in dry tavern from going to the Izzy’s gun shop so much.. loved seeing all the old vehicles more then the buildings lol.. sadly if you’d do a drone video of the country side here now you’d only see gas drilling pads and gravel roads with tanks up every hill.. nothing but litter & pollution.. look at oak forest rd.. or every back road a drill pad OR coal mine entrance, nothing but litter. Radiation in ten mile for how long before a college student tested for it.. coal mine dumping solids, I’m 52 and lived here my whole life and seen so much change , landscaping and beauty and clean water ways to traffic jams , big trucks, littered roads, thousands of trees cleared, destroyed well systems and springs, old farms long gone and setting empty for years or dozed over for what? MONEY.. can’t eat $ and can’t live without good water.. the trees may still turn green but the county is definitely brown

    Those ladies were so lucky to have stumbled upon your camp. Especially with how ill-equipped they were. I do a lot of day hikes, no backpacking camping type stuff just yet, except when I go deer hunting. But even on day hikes I take a minimum of survival gear. Water or way of collecting water, food for at least the day, flashlight/headtorch, at least an emergency space blanket or even a wool blanket, and something to start fire with like matches, knife and firesteel. Fire is a big moral booster out in cole and dark especially if you have no shelter or warm clothing with you. Also I always let someone know where I'm going and when I'll be back, so they where to look for me if I go missing.
